Aloha Souvenirs is an example of the mass production of consumer products. In this piece, souvenir objects produced for tourists are amassed in one big clump. Volumes of objects fill the shelfs of vendors who market to tourists visitng Waikiki and overwhelm the viewer. Amassing “stuff” in containers and plating the entire piece in "gold" emphasize the conglomeration of our materialism and consumerism in contemporary culture.
